{portrait parties}

Portrait Parties...

are a great way for you to earn free prints, rewards, and more! As a hostess you will be responsible for a few details, like organizing the group, mailing out invitations (provided for you), setting times and dates for the party and delivering the finished products to the guest.. In return you will receive some amazing rewards, all for free!

Each child in the party will receive a time slot for 20 minutes with a 10 minute wind-down period. Since the child will be ready and the theme of the party is set, our time together should produce 5 great final images for each child.

This is an opportunity for your guests to receive drastically reduced prices for the photo shoot, along with exclusive print packages offered only through the portrait parties. At the same time, the hostess will receive amazing benefits for her time and effort!

Each party should have around 6-10 families/children booked for the party. There are several options to choose from regarding theme and location for your party.

Friends and family together on Independence Day...
On the 4th our family got together at the inlaws where some friends joined us. It was mass chaos with all of these kids, but we had such fun!

{better late...}

Thursday July 3 our family went to a 4th of July celebration at a local church. There was free food, face painting, games for kids, a live band, a bike show...all kinds of things! The night ended with a big BANG, the best fireworks show around, seriously! Most of these pictures were taken there...we had such fun! The picture of Britton was taken just after his first chocolate chip cookie ;) As you can see, he was really diggin' it! I was also practicing my sun flare/backlighting technique. Enjoy!

This little girl is SUCH a dollbaby! She was so good and her mama and daddy are the sweetest people. Nicole and Marty, it was a pleasure to work with you! You have such a pretty family, be on the lookout for more to come soon!

{vacation}

We are back from vacation and VERY tired! We were gone for 8 days and are so glad to be back home. It was a bit of a stressful time as Britton was quite sick for the first half and Justin worked by himself all week long on getting four (yes I said FOUR) layers of shingles off the roof of our cottage and put new ones off. He didn't get finished so our cottage has a huge tarp covering it until we can get up there again, hopefully soon. It makes one a bit nervous to leave it that way! We had a family reunion on my dad's side over the weekend which was a lot of fun, and we spent a lot of time with my family from both sides all week long. It was good to be "home" for the week but even better to be back *home*. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight! Thank you everyone for the sweet emails and comments, I appreciate all of your thoughts.
