I have a new look and a new name! Chixie and Honey Artistic Imagery is my new name, thanks to my daughter Ava. Ava got two "chicks" from her grandma right before Easter. They are two little styrofoam chicks, covered with yellow fur, sitting in a little cage on a bed of grass. When Ava took the chicks up to the checkout lane, she told the woman at the cash register that their names were "Honey". Within a few hours, the names were changed to "Chixie and Honey".
I heard this story over the phone, while I was in the hospital with my 7 month old son, Britton. The story of Chixie and Honey brought such laughter to such a somber and worrisome time in my life...the names "Chixie and Honey" just evoke sweet, silly, innocent fun. It also reminds me of my own little "Chixie" (Ava) and "Honey" (Britton).
And that....my friends, is how Chixie and Honey Artistic Imagery was born.
